Wheelchair fencing is pretty amazing. If you’ve never tried it you should. Every year at the Arnold we continue to try to get wheelchair fencing involved. It’s a difficult process, but it looks positive to finally come to fruition for 2012. In the meantime the Arnold staff attended a coaches conference where the wheelchair program was on the agenda. Our national wheelchair coach, Coach Stawicki, worked with us all to get a better understanding of what it takes to run a program. For us, it also gave us ideas on how to make the Arnold wheelchair event more successful.
