Daria Schneider is currently ranked 3rd among American women’s saber fencers and among the top 20 internationally. In 2009, while a full-time student at Columbia University and a part-time assistant coach at Riverdale High School, Daria qualified for the U.S. national team, fencing in the world championships in Antalya, Turkey and finishing 15th among all women’s saber fencers (2nd among the Americans). In 2007, Daria was the NCAA Champion in Women’s Saber. After graduating from Columbia College in 2010, she plans to train full time, preparing to compete in the 2010 world championships in Paris and qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
