The Columbus Rotary Club will award a $2000 scholarship to the one “best citizen fencer” at the Arnold Fencing Classic 2010! The $2000 scholarship will be held in your name until you enter college and can be used at your college of choice.

Essay Guidelines
Essay entitled “One blade to rule them all”
"One blade to rule them all" is a slogan of the Arnold Fencing Classic 2010. Therefore, your essay should support and position fencing as a dominating sport and may have different ideas on history, development, olympic performance or story of fencing with specific examples on how fencing has helped you now as well as how you see it helping you in the future either in your school work or every day life situations. The essay should by between 500 and 1500 words.

All essays should use the following criteria for submission. Essays not in the prescribed format will be disqualified.
If you don’t have the capability of scanning and emailing your scholarship submission, you can mail all items (all items must be submitted at the same time) to the address below. All items must be received by February 21, 2010 to be included.
